# Entitlement

> The entitlement types and scopes you pass to IsActive and IsActivePublisher to check what an offer granted.

Describes an entitlement an offer can grant: a free trial, a discount, or a credit. Pass it to [`IsActive()`](https://docs.encorekit.com/publishers/unity/sdk-reference/is-active) or [`IsActivePublisher()`](https://docs.encorekit.com/publishers/unity/sdk-reference/is-active-publisher) to check whether the player has one now.

## Structure

```csharp theme={null}
public sealed class Entitlement
{
    public EntitlementType Type;
    public double? Value;         // iOS ignores it and matches on Type only
    public EntitlementUnit? Unit; // iOS ignores it and matches on Type only
    public static Entitlement FreeTrial(double? value = null, EntitlementUnit? unit = null);
    public static Entitlement Discount(double? value = null, EntitlementUnit? unit = null);
    public static Entitlement Credit(double? value = null, EntitlementUnit? unit = null);
}
public enum EntitlementType { FreeTrial, Discount, Credit }
public enum EntitlementUnit { Months, Days, Percent, Dollars }
public enum EntitlementScope
{
    All,
    Verified, // on iOS, this also counts provisional grants
}
```

## Example

```csharp theme={null}
bool hasTrial = await Encore.IsActiveAsync(Entitlement.FreeTrial(), EntitlementScope.Verified);
```

## Notes

* Entitlement checks answer on iOS only. On Android and WebGL they answer `false`.
